Dr. Duane Schrock is a native of Florida and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1991 from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.

Subsequently, he and his wife moved to Mobile, where he joined the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of South Alabama. Dr. Schrock started a satellite clinic in Fairhope for the University in 1995.

In 2001, he left the University to enter private practice, where he continues to provide comprehensive eye care for the entire family. Dr. Schrock resides in Fairhope with his wife, Pauline, and their three children. When he is not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, biking, and being involved in church activities.

Dr. Schrock states that the Eastern Shore Community has been a great place to work and raise a family, and he very much appreciates the support and encouragement he has received from his patients over the years.

Dr. Schrock sees patients Monday through Thursday and is available after hours for emergency eye care services. He has enjoyed building strong relationships with his patients and is committed to providing quality eye care to patients of all ages.

Originally from Troy, Alabama, Dr. Dunn earned his Bachelor of Science with Magna Cum Laude Honors from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in 1979. He then continued his education at the UAB School of Optometry, where he received his Doctor of Optometry with Honors in 1983 and achieved the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society. Since completing his education, Dr. Dunn has served the Crenshaw and Pike County areas for over 40 years.

In his practice, Dr. Dunn has a particular interest in fitting specialty contact lenses, such as sclerals, custom lenses, and multifocals. He also specializes in dry eye disease, having completed Advanced Training in Ocular Surface Disease Assessment and Treatment from the Dry Eye Institute to help patients with severe cases. Known for his dedicated approach to care, Dr. Dunn prioritizes taking the time to truly listen, conduct thorough assessments, and carefully explain his findings so that every patient fully understands their treatment options.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Dunn loves spending his free time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is actively involved in his church and also enjoys a variety of adventurous and outdoor hobbies, including flying, boating, and fishing.

Dr. Karlee Johnson is dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized eye care that helps patients see their best and maintain their overall eye health. She takes the time to listen to each patient’s concerns, explain her findings clearly, and discuss treatment options in an approachable way. Her goal is to make every patient feel comfortable, informed, and involved in their care.

Dr. Johnson earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences, summa cum laude, from Mississippi State University in 2020 before earning her Doctor of Optometry from the UAB School of Optometry in 2024. She is NBEO certified and completed clinical training in a variety of private practice and OD/MD hospital settings, including externships with Eastern Shore Eye Care, Center for Sight, and Advanced Eye Care.

Her clinical experience includes primary care, pediatrics, cornea and contact lenses, ocular disease, and low vision. She also completed specialized rotations in dry eye care, traumatic brain injury, specialty contact lenses, infant aphakia, and care for patients at the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind. Dr. Johnson has a particular interest in diabetic eye exams, dry eye, binocular vision disorders, keratoconus, and specialty contact lens fittings.

What Dr. Johnson finds most rewarding about optometry is building meaningful relationships with her patients and helping them achieve their best vision and quality of life. She enjoys using her clinical knowledge to identify and manage a wide range of eye and vision conditions while providing care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Outside of the office, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is a big animal lover and loves boating, gardening, spending time outdoors, and finding opportunities to be creative and learn something new.
